RVing Full Time

December 1 we moved to the Palm Springs area. We use three resorts in Indio, Palm Desert, and Desert Hot Springs. With only one stay in each resort we will be in the area for 7 weeks. There are lots of places to hike and see while here. Not to mention It's one of the warmer places in Southern California to spend the coldest part of winter. 

The Painted Canyon loop hike is 25 miles south-east of Indio. Go south on Highway 111 to Mecca. Go east from Meca on the 66th Avenue. Then take Box Canyon road. After crossing the irrigation canel turn left on Painted Canyon Road. It is a dirt road till it's end. Most of the time this road is fine with a two wheel drive vehicle The trail starts at the parking area. It's a five mile hike with many ladders.
