October 4, 2009 we left our daughters place in Ione Oregon, near Hermiston in north-eastern Oregon. October 7 we were setting up our RV in Bryce Canyon Natonal Park in Utah. From the campground it's a short walk to the rim where you can look over to a photographing paradise at your feet.

Come with us on the hikes we took for the week during our stay.

October 13, 2009 we moved the Zion National Park. If I only had time to go either Zion or Bryce I'd choose Bryce. But choice #2 for beautiful scenery Zion is the place In Bryce you stand on the rim of the canyon and look down and hike down to look up. In Zion you are in the floor of the canyon looking up so you must hike up to look down.

October 20, 2009 Las Vegas. We went to Red Rock Canyon about 40 miles west of Vegas and hiked Calico Canyon.

November 10, 2009 Ehrenberg AZ on the Colorado River.

November 24, 2009 Joshua Tree National Park

December 1, 2009 Indio CA Near Palm Springs.

Jan 8, 2010 Desert Hot Springs, CA with it's wind generators, hot tubs and good hiking. It's near Palm Springs.

January 19, 2010 Acton CA. Solidad Canyon TT (Thousand Trails Preserve)
